Dear PCMA Members and Friends,
I hope this note finds you, your families, friends, neighbors, and members all well and in good health.
These are unprecedented times, but this too shall pass. It is incumbent upon us all, particularly as membership directors, to be that beacon of positivity that defined our roles before this pandemic, and crystallized it after. We are in the unique position of being able to have a positive impact on not only our membership, but our peers and teammates.
I encourage you to stay strong and positive, because your members need that consistency and calm. You are the “port” in this storm to keep your members engaged and connected. Many members may feel isolated and unconnected to the outside world, so bring them into your “club world.” For example, have there been any new babies born you can introduce? Do you have any high school or college graduates you can celebrate? What about other milestones that will raise member spirits and feel good about being a part of your club? This is your chance to tell them about what is going on with other members in your club and keep them connected!
The team at PCMA has done and continues to do an extraordinary job in communicating the latest updates from other members with ideas on how to continue to engage your members. They have also created a weekly membership & marketing mastermind meeting of PCMA members that come together to connect with like-minded professionals, offering support through shared experiences, situational expertise, and creative brainstorming. To join an upcoming mastermind meeting review our listing of events.
I know we are all dealing with this new reality and the many challenges it presents. Now more than ever, we need to support each other as best we can. I am always available if you need any advice or just a sympathetic ear…please call my cell 912-665-8021. Stay safe and keep up the great work!
